Puttur, Nov 28: In a strange incident which has happened in a village falling under the jurisdiction of Uppinangady police station in the taluk, a married woman has been adamantly demanding the companionship of a youth living in her neighbourhood. The youth and her husband are in a bind because of her insistence.
The woman has two kids. She married a man from this village nine years back. When her husband used to stay away from home on account of work compulsions, he had sought help of a youth living in the neighbourhood and asked him to bring provisions and other things needed by his wife when he was away. In course of time, with the frequent visits of the youth, the woman got attracted towards him. After she openly expressed her love for the youth and came out with her madness for him, all hell broke loose.
This incident resulted in family quarrels and the husband also had a fight with the youth. The issue was referred to police station after which the police asked the youth to desist from visiting the woman.
Overlooking the warnings of the police, the woman called the youth the same night and threatened to commit suicide if he failed to visit her. The youth rushed to the police station to share his helplessness. The police summoned the woman and her husband to the station and talked to them. The woman insisted that she does not want to live with her husband and that she wants the company of the youth in question. She also threatened to end her life if they forced her to live with her husband.
At last, the woman's brother was called to the police station and the lady was sent with him to her parental home. The police asked the family to send the lady back to her husband once she undergoes change of mind. The youth now faces a strange situation.
