However, when it is comes to the matter of language, all konkani speaking people get united regardless of their religion. So languages bring unity to a particular region, state or nation. I know the Konkani community very well. They have marked an identity of their own with sheer hard work, in various sectors, especially banking and education. In the midst of all the achievements, they have not forgotten their mother tongue. That's why the grand man of Konkani letters, Basti Vaman Shenoy and many others are associated with the work of Konkani language. This 'Sahitya Samaroh' is also a part of it. I wish them all the best for their future programmes. The 'Konkani Chair' of Mangaluru university is always ready to provide any assistance to Konkani programmes."

The mission of handing over the language to the next generation is not happening properly in these languages. Konkani language is also facing the same issue. In order to counter these challenges, we need to upgrade ourselves as per the modern world. We should impart modern ways to keep our language alive. Electronic files and journals will become more effective in this regard. "
