Bantwal, Nov 18: Mangaluru DCIB team has arrested four accused in connection to the double murder that took place in Farangipet last month.
The accused arrested are Mohammed Hussain alias Munna (26), Naufal alias Toppi Naufal (25), Mohammed Asif alias Achi alias Moosa Achi (27) and Ibrahim alias Dodda Puttha (29).
Zia and Fayaz were killed in a gang war at Farangipet on October 26. The killers who arrived in Qualis and a tempo vehicles had chased the victims and attacked them with swords. Aneesh, Faizal and Mushtaque who were seriously injured were admitted in hospital.
With these arrests the number of arrests in the case has gone up to eleven.
The police arrested seven persons a few days ago in connection with the incident. DCIB police in an operation in Udupi on Friday arrested another four accused who were absconding. They have handed over the accused to Bantwal town police for further investigation.
DCIB inspector Amanulla, Puttur traffic SI Jagadish Reddy, Bantwal traffic SI Yallappa, staff Sanjiva Purusha, Udaya Rai, Laxman Rai, Iqbal, Praveen, Taranath, Palani, Vasu Naika, driver Vijaya Gowda and Vasu Naika Bantwal participated in the arrest operation.
