Mangaluru, Nov 16: BJP spokesperson Jitendra Kottary on Thursday, November 16 informed that district BJP will complain about the alleged involvement of district in-charge minister Ramanath Rai in land grabbing case to deputy commissioner (DC) and Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB).
Addressing media here Kottary said, "Ramanath Rai has hit headlines since the land grabbing issue came to light. There is strong evidence that Rai has grabbed the government land illegally. So we have decided to complain against Rai to DC and ACB regarding the issue,”
“Rai's wife had applied for two acres of land in Mani under survey number 38/1. But she got one acre of additional land without any application. This was opposed by Rai's brother-in- law. This case is in court now. We are not asking Rai about the documents. But he should answer the questions as to how he has managed to do all this,” he added.
“Under the notification of survey revenue system and land records 2017, Kallige area was declared as 'Podi Mukhta Gram'. But survey number 97/1, which is acquired by Rai, has vanished from the list. This indicates that he has misused power,” he said.
BJP leaders Yogish Bhat, Nithin Bhat and Sanjay Prabhu were present.
