Udupi, Nov 16: Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamij, senior seer of Paryaya Pejawar math welcomed chariot ‘Sudharma Ratha’ by offering mangalarathi at Kanaka Gopura, in front of Sri Krishna temple Udupi here on Wednesday, November 15.
Speaking on the occasion, Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji said, “Vishwa Hindu Parishad is a big chariot of Hindu community. This ratha depicts Krishna and Arjuna. Lord Sri Krishna symbolizes saints and seers of Hindu society. Arjuna marks Hindus of the nation whole. Hence, both Hindu saints and Hindus should get together, only then Hindu society will develop. Let the Sudharma Ratha be a preface for the welfare of Hindu society. May this programme succeed in achieving its goal.”
The Sudharma Ratha is made in order to promotion of Dharma Samsad to be held in city from November 24 to 26. The Ratha was taken in main places of Udupi district like Byndoor, Kundapura, Karkala and Kaup. After that, it was taken in and around city. On Wednesday, it returned to Udupi. The Ratha is designed to create and spread awareness about importance of Hindu dharma.
