Mangaluru, Nov 13: Founder of Yuva Brigade, Chakravarti Sulibele, in a statement which is sure to evoke strong responses, stated here on Sunday November 12, that subjecting actor, Praksh Rai, to police investigation will bring out the truth about who killed journalist, Gauri Lankesh. Sulibele noted that Prakash Rai has been repeatedly accusing rightists of murdering the controversial journalist.
Sulibele was addressing gathering at an interactive programme titled 'Murder of leftists - why Hindus are accused' which was organized at Srinivas Kalyana Mantap on V T Road in the city. It was held under the aegis of Hindu Janajaruti Samiti.
"As soon as Gauri was killed, an effort to place the blame on Hindu organizations was made almost immediately. Actor, Rai and some other people nursing thoughts like him, have been casting aspersions on rightists. The way they have been making these allegations repeatedly gives a clue that they know who were behind this murder. Therefore, they should be subjected to probe and names of killers should be extracted from them," he demanded.
The firebrand Hindu leader said that in normal course, accused are held after collecting evidences. He noted that the home minister of Karnataka has been issuing statements that are vague. "He says that the identity of murders is known, by evidences are not available. There have been innumerable instances in which Hindu activists are blamed for such incidents," he noted, and resented this practice.
