Udupi, Nov 10: 'Chappara Muhurat' was performed by Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji of Paryaya Pejawar Math at Royal Garden near Kalsanka here on Friday November 10, ahead of the 'Dharma Samsad' (religious parliament).
Addressing the gathering, Sri Muktananda Swamiji of Keranje Math said, "Cow should be declared the national animal in place of tiger. All Hindus should work towards making cow a 'mother of the world'.
"Dharma Samsad is getting ready to answer to all the attacks which took place on Hindu temples and maths. The government is trying hard to label Hindu outfits and activists as ‘terrorists’. There is a planned conspiracy by the state government to suppress Hindus. Hence, it is a huge responsibility on Hindus to change the present state government by bringing unity among us.
"Saints, Hindu organizations and society should be united in making Hindu dharma shine in the world. Nearly one and half lac Hindus are expected to participate in the convention," Swamiji said.
Sri Vishweshateertha Swamiji said, "Preparations for the glorious ‘Dharma Samsad' is in full swing. A wave of Hinduism will be created through this convention at the international level. All Hindu outfits and Hindu affiliated organizations will take part in this historic convention.
"Resolutions will be passed on various important issues like building Ram Mandir. Many of the problems faced by Hindus in society will be addressed during the convention. This is a platform to find solution for all our problems. An exhibition depicting rich Hindu culture and heritage will be put."
The purpose of organizing this convention is to build Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, prohibition of cow slaughter and discuss pro-Hindu issues, he said.
Sharan Pumpwell, Keshav Raj Prabhu, Dr Vijayendra, Nalini Pradeep Rao, Rama J Rao, Sunil K R, Ratnakara Shetty, owner Royal Garden, Goutham Agarwal, owner national consumer, Somashekhar Bhat, senior BJP leader, M B Puranik, secretary of Dharma Samsad welcome committee, Padma Ratnakara, Shankar, Shreesha Naik, Lalaji Mendon, Subrahmanya Holla and Raghupati Bhat were present.
