Mangaluru, Oct 31: Of late there is a perception in coastal Karnataka that BJP is considering the prospects of fielding a religious leader from coastal districts in the coming assembly election. The party appears to be taking a leaf out of Yogi Adiyanath's popularity in Uttar Pradesh as chief minister. The Swamiji of the party's choice is said to be Vajradehi Math Swamiji.
At the same time, Rajashekarananda Swamiji of Vajradehi Math is not averse to the idea. He said he is ready to serve political sector. Sources say that already a few senior party leaders have met him and asked him to contest from one of the constituencies in coastal districts.
