Mangaluru, Oct 31: Prime Minister (PM), Narendra Modi, it is gathered, used 20 minutes of onward helicopter journey from the city to Dharmasthala and equal time on the return journey, to discuss about effective implementation of popular central schemes in Karnataka and also developments within his own party. He discussed many aspects with union minister, D V Sadananda Gowda, who accompanied the PM on both these journeys.
Modi discussed with Gowda about the current state of various schemes implemented by the union government in Karnataka, and impediments faced in their proper implementation. He expressed the feeling that if the BJP leladers in the state actively involve themselves towards ensuring that benefits of the central government schemes reach the common people, it is possible to achieve the objective of bright future for our country.

"I shared information about the region and uniqueness of this part of the state with the PM. Myself and union minister, Ananth Kumar, also provided the PM with information about the political and other issues concerning this region,"Gowda said. He also narrated that Modi had also spoken to the duo during the travel to Bengaluru by air but it would be difficult to reveal about the issues discussed therein as they need to be kept confidential. "It would not be right to reveal all the issues relating to PM's travel," he added.
During the travel, PM used to keep track of social websites including twitter on his cellphone. In his twitter account too he posted comments appreciating the programmes held at Dharmasthala and Ujire, it is learnt.
Nalin Kumar Kateel is learnt to have explained to Modi about Kambala and the need to include Tulu in eighth schedule of the constitution. He said that the PM has asked him and Sadananda Gowda to furnish to him details about this issue at New Delhi.
