Mandya, Oct 30: Chief minister, Siddaramaiah, felt that there is a need to subject former minister, BJP leader and MP, Shobha Karandlaje, to narco analysis test. He was referring to the challenge posed by Shobha opting to undergo the procedure provided Siddaramaiah too agrees for similar procedure simultaneously , relating to allegations of power purchase scandal during the period she was energy minister.
"Shobha needs to undergo this test because she keeps telling lies. It need not be performed on me," he felt.
Siddaramaiah stated that a house committee has been formed with regard to power purchase scandal and that this committee would be tabling its report on October 30. He exuded confidence that the report will reveal who is at fault. "As of now, I do not have any inkling about the size of the scam. Shobha has become jittery even before the committee has submitted its report. If she had done nothing wrong, there was no need for her to be afraid of anything," he commented. He guessed that Shobha is worried because she would have been involved with wrongdoing.
