Bengaluru, Oct 29: Under pressure exerted by members of Jangama Math Trust, as well as devotes and villagers who undertook fast unto death demanding removal of Dayananda Swamy who has been charged with indulgence in sexual orgy, the tainted Swamy was expelled from the Math on Saturday October 28. Mediation conducted by Swamiji of Shreeshaila Math helped in finding a temporary solution to the problem.
Sri Chennasiddarama Panditaradhya who is the spiritual head of Shreeshaila Math arrived at Jangama Math on Saturday and held discussions with the senior Swamiji of the Math, Pattada Parvata Shivacharya, members of his family, and trust members for about three hours. He asked them to conduct investigations about illegal activities with which Dayananda Swamy was involved with, within 15 days.

The devotees of the Math, who formed a team of nine members from the two factions of the Math, gave deadline of 15 days to find a suitable heir to the Math. The Math premises saw frayed tempers and tense atmosphere as protests both in support of the Math and against it were held till Saturday evening.
The devotees, trust members, and villagers had been carrying on with their fast and protest demonstration in front of the Math since the last three days, insisting that Dayananda Swamy alias Gurunanjeshwara Shivacharya Swamy and his family members should be ousted from the Math and that an investigation should be conducted into the affairs of the Math. They were stubborn in not withdrawing the protest till these demands were met.
A youth named Harish revealed through a video clip that the video of the Swamy's indulgence in illegal sexual activities had been got made by two men named Himachalapathi and Praveen. He said he had been asked by the duo to work as mediator for them to demand extortion money o Rs 20 lac from Dayananda Swamy, duly informing him about the presence of this CD. He confessed that out of fear, he did not evince interest in meeting their demand.
Himachalapathi, who came to the site of protest later, said that there was no need for him to send a mediator to the Swamy as he had direct access to the Swamiji. He accused some of his opponents of paying one thousand rupees to Harish when he was drunk, for obtaining his statement in that state, duly naming the former as the accused. He said he has nothing to do with the video tape that has become public now.
Members of Dalit Vimochana Chaluvali organization led by state president, Muni Anjinappa, raised slogans against the Swamy and expressed solidarity with trust members. Karnataka Rakshana Vedike activists sought investigation against those who indulged in this honeytrap and to save property of the Math.
Discussions between two warring factions from the village, as well as with the senior Swamiji of the Math in the presence of Shreeshaila Swamiji was held for three hours. Discussions also touched the subject of property of the Math, sexual indulgence by Dayananda Swamiji etc.
In the meanwhile, MLA and national president of Akhill Bharat Veerashaiva Mahasabha,Shamanur Shivashankarappa, said that his organization will be bound by the decision that may be taken by the Pancha Peeta relating to the controversy surrounding the Jangama Math at Hunasamaranahalli in the city.
