Mangaluru, Oct 28: Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Seva Awards for this year have been announced. Dr G Nagendra Prabhu, and Dr Usha S Heranjal, have won the awards in men and women categories respectively.

World Konkani Centre, Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation Mangaluru instituted Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Seva Awards are sponsored by Vishwa Konkani Kendra chief patron and chairman of Manipal Global Education, T V Mohandas Pai. 

Dr G Nagendra Prabhu, Associate Professor, P G Department of Zoology and Research Centre, University of Kerala has been selected for Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Seva Award of this year under men category.

Dr Usha S Heranjal, Anu Eye Hospital, Valsad, Gujarat has been selected for Basti Vaman Shenoy Vishwa Konkani Seva Award of this year under women category:

The above two personalities will receive Rs. 1 lac each and a shawl, citation etc at a glittering ceremony to be held on November 20 at Sri Sudheendra Hall, Canara Girls High School, Dongarakeri in city.
