London: ‘The Pearl of Konkani Community’ Award conferred on Ronald Colaco

London, Oct 27: NRI entrepreneur and philanthropist, Ronald Colaco, has one more feather on his cap. He was conferred with 'The Pearl of Konkani Community' Award by the Konkani Cultural Association United Kingdom (KCAUK) and South Kanara Association London (SKA) during Kevin Misquith's live musical concert at Harrow Art Centre in London on October 22.

Ronald Colaco, was the chief guest during the event. He was felicitated by Austin Prabhu along with other guests for all his charitable works rendered to the society and was honoured with the title, 'Pearl of Konkani Community'. Austin Prabhu, Elias Sanctis, Sr Irene Jane, Joseph Mathias, the Presidents of KCA and SKA, Santosh Pinto and Sunil D'Cunha were present on the dais.
















Ronald Colaco in his speech said that he has firmly adhered to the pledge he took at the time of his marriage in 1983. The oath was to share a certain percentage of his income and extend a helping hand to individuals, institutions, organisations, the Government and to the society in general. His wife Jean Colaco has been entirely supportive in all his philanthropic and charitable endeavours.

Colaco also gave some tips to the audience that how any individual can perform charitable works irrespective of big or small to support the community and society.

It can be recalled that, Colaco was conferred with ‘Times Now NRI of the year’ Award recently. He was also invited for a Breakfast Meeting with US President Donald Trump earlier this year.

Colaco, man extraordinaire

Ronald Colaco is a NRI businessman based in Dubai, whose descendants initially hailed from Moodbidri in Mangaluru taluk. He started his professional career in Oman during 1975 and worked in 8 Gulf and European countries. His career began as an accountant and enthused on to become head of accounts, and administration and financial controller. Eventually he was elevated as commercial CEO for a consortium of 3 multinational corporations like CCICL based in Athens, Greece, Mannesmann of Germany and Saipem of Milano, Italy.

During his tenure he was involved in turn-key projects such as construction of world class petro-refineries, gas processing and re-injection plants, townships and airports. He placed his rich experience in varied dimensions to virtuous use to develop as an entrepreneur. Since then, it has been a saga of success all the way. Through his business acumen, hard work, devotion and disciplined approach, Ronald Colaco has become a successful entrepreneur of great repute.
