Udupi: Brahmavar to be Made Taluk in 3 Months - MLA

Udupi, Jun 9: Veteran Jana Sangh leader Gujjady Narasimha Nayak inaugurated the city office of MLA K Raghupati Bhat, here on Monday June 9.  

Raghupati Bhat, speaking on the occasion, said that he would be available in the morning at his office, to listen to the people's grievances.  Moreover, his personal assistant and staff are available at all the time, when he would be away on visits to areas under his constituency.  A branch office will be set up at Brahmavar shortly where he would be available twice in a week.

‘People's representative at the door-step of people’ programme that had begun in Udupi constituency will be extended to 23 villages across Brahmavar, within one and half months.  The development of Udupi will be extended to Brahmavar, in order to provide water, roads and all basic amenities to the people.  It is being proposed to convert Brahmavar as taluk centre within 3 months. The process is already underway.  

Freedom fighter Shambu Shetty, municipal councilor Dinakar Shetty, zilla panchayat member Upendra Nayak and other councilors were present at the occasion.
