M'luru: Mangalore Basketball Club creates history, enters 'A' division

Mangaluru, Sep 22:  Mangalore Basketball Club makes history as first from twin districts to enter 'A' division in sports.

MBC won the state 'B' division Basketball championship for M C Srinivasa Memorial Trophy organised by Karnataka State Basketball Association at Kanteerava stadium, Bengaluru, thus making an entry into the A division, a first in the twin districts.

In the finals, Mangalore Basketball Club beat Raising Star, Mysuru 47-33. In other matches, MBC beat IBBC, Bengaluru 54-50. MBC beat Rovers Dharwad 57-43. MBC beat Vasantnagar Club, Bengaluru 56-53. MBC beat Ulsoor Basketball Club 64-48.
