Mangaluru, Sep 18: "BJP has no moral right to demand resignation over suicide case of DySP Ganapathy," said minister for food and civil supplies U T Khader on Monday, September 18."
"The opposition is unneccesarily levelling false allegations against K J George, as they are trying to confuse and divert the minds of people. Supreme court has ordered a CBI probe into the case, but has not mentioned anywhere that the earlier report was completely wrong, or even mentioned KJ George's name in the supreme court order. Supreme court has given three months time to asertain the facts, even after knowing BJP are protesting demanding his resignation, which is baseless," said Khader.
Flare communal tensions
"BJP is trying to spread fake allegations to defame the state government and create communal rift, ahead of elections," he said.
"Recently, at a temple in Chamrajnagar, a temple flag was burnt. Later it was found that it was the opposition leader's doing. Incidents like this polarize people and create rift between religions ahead of elections. I urge people not to lend ears to fake allegations but show patience before coming to conclusions," he said.
