Mangaluru, Sep 5: Mayor Kavita Sanil, on Tuesday September 5, urged people to collect the completion certificate from builders before occupying their flats.

She further said, "Usually people, who are willing to buy flats, occupy them without obtaining the completion certificate. This will create problems for the occupants of the flat while selling the flats to the second party. Once the occupants occupy the flats it is difficult  to avail the completion certificate. It is also noted that no basic amenities in the flats such as sewage treatment plan, and proper drainage connections are in place. There are temporary base water connections are set up. Due to this, the amount of water bill gets doubled."

When asked about land acquisition for Thumbay dam, Kavita Sanil said, "It is in progress. As much as Rs seven cr have been released so far. Survey of 8 meters has already been completed. The remaining survey will be completed in 15 days."

Mayor Madam kindly note that builder pay to get the completion certificate although it's not completed. A special squad from builders association along with CREDAI and MUDA should inspect buildings constructed and see if it is as per norms. Again builders make illegal penthouse and duplex Apartments and register for low value. Hope this is an eye-opener to you. Buildings have no access for fire services to enter. Why give licences without inspection of property? Commercial buildings constructed near the main road have no proper parking and you yourself can see that the tax payers don't have a proper footpath because of these unwanted concrete roads.
Smart City I don't think so...
