Kundapur, Aug 23: "Popular Front of India(PFI) and Karnataka Forum for Dignity (KFD) have directly played a role in the recent murders of Hindu activists in Karnataka. These organizations should be banned immediately because they are spreading an environment of fear and apprehension in the society. Hindu activists will incarnate in the form of Lord Krishna to vanquish PFI and KFD which represent demon Kamsa," said vice president of Udupi district unit of BJP, Baikady Suprasad Shetty.
Shetty was addressing the participants of a huge torch parade to register protest demanding arrest of murderers in Sharath Madiwala murder case, placing ban on KFD and PFI, and demanding resignation by minister, Ramanath Rai, in the town on Tuesday August 22. BJP Yuvamorcha had organized the programme.
Baikady urged Ramanath Rai to step down as minister for having spread confusion in the state. He also condemned the government for hoisting fake case against BJP state president. He added that his party will continue its fight till PFI and KFD organizations are banned.
He reminded the concerned that Jan Sangh was founded not for politics or power but for national integration. "We do not indulge in politics for power. "We are prepared for any sacrifice for our nation. We will not sit quiet if the government develops soft towards organizations which are committing atrocities on Hindu activists," he warned.
MLC, Kota Srinivas Poojary, BJP president of local block. Kadur Suresh Shetty, taluk Yuvamorcha president, Kalava Satish Poojary, general secretary, Shankar Ankadakatte, zilla panchayat member, Laxmi Manju Billava, taluk panchayat president, Jayashree Mogaveera, Mahila Morcha president, Janaki Billava, and Ganapati Shriyan of district BJP unit were present.
The mega torch parade was initiated by veteran BJP leader, Mohandas Shenoy. Bhaskar Billawa presented the programme.
