Mangaluru, Aug 18: “Billava Sangha Kuwait will organize scholarship distribution and motivation programme for the deserving student on Sunday August 20 at Shri Gokarnanatha Kshethra Kudroli,” informed Raghu Poojary president of Billava Sangha Kuwait.
Addressing news conference here on Friday August 18, Raghu Poojary said, “President of Kudroli temple H S Sairam will inaugurate the function. Vice president of Billawara Maha Mandal Pithamber Heraje will be the chief guest. Administrator Shri Narayana Guru Group of Institution Adve Ravindra Poojary will deliver motivational speech for the students and president of Shree Guru Charitable Trust Chandrashekar Nanil will grace the occasion.”
“Last year, we had disbursed scholarship to 88 underprivileged deserving students amounting to Rs 5,40,000. This year 100 students have been selected who are pursuing post graduation, engineering, diploma, law, degree, pre – university and trade courses. A total of Rs 6,10,000 will be distributed as scholarships among these students.”
“In its third year after inception, Billava Sangha Kuwait, we initiated a meaningful program to assist underprivileged deserving students of the community in their education. Our sincere efforts in this direction is being supported by the great works of Shree Guru Charitable Trust Mangaluru who have been doing the extensive work in identifying the deserving children from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi including remote areas.”
“Billava Sangha Kuwait a non - profit community association was established in January 2013 in Kuwait. Billava Sangha Kuwait is affiliated to the embassy of India, Kuwait and has been consistently striving to achieve its objectives of unity and community welfare by promoting cultural and social activities,” he added.
