Kundapur, Aug 12: Karnataka State Sunni Students Federation and SSF Udupi, on Friday, August 11, held a freedom conference ‘Desha Ulisi – Dwesha Alisi’, at Shastri Circle, here, honouring the sacrifices of freedom fighters and working towards their vision of a hatered-free India.
Nation must be wiped free of hatered and jealousy, said SSF Karnataka state secretary Hafil Mohammed Sufyan Sakhafi.
He was speaking at the concluding ceremony of the freedom conference.
“Though several people invaded our country looking for its prominence, wealth and history, including the British, it received freedom after a prolonged struggle. The country has preserved its prestige and has an unblemished history, since. Our constitution is respected over the world. Taking pride in it, we must turn our freedom fighters' dreams into reality of freeing the nation of hatered and jealousy,” he said.
“As many as 99 percent of people in the country want peace. Only one percent creates unrest in the name of religion and politics for selfish motives. People should understand this reality. The world is watching India. Countries that did not give spare parts for computers now look at India, which has the capacity to manufacture satellites, with awe. India must top the global list,” he hoped.
