Mangaluru: Calvary Garden, St Jude Association inaugurated at Pakshikere church

Mangaluru, Aug 9: 'Calvary Garden' was inaugurated on the premises of St Jude Shrine, Pakshikere, on Tuesday, August 9.

The newly built Calvary Garden and sculpture of late Fr Stanley R Periera, founder of St Jude Shrine Pakshikere, was inaugurated and blessed by Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu, vicar general of Mangaluru diocese.

The programme began with the prayer service.


    


















































Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza, the parish priest of Pakshikere church delivered the introductory speech. During his speech, he highlighted the founder’s mission and love for the poor.

Assistant parish priest Fr Clifford Pinto was present for the programme.

On the joyful occasion, St Jude Association was inaugurated by launching the logo by Msgr Denis Moras Prabhu.

After the inauguration, the Holy Eucharist was celebrated in memory of the fourth death anniversary of late Fr Stanley R Periera.

After the novena, sponsors of Calvary Garden were honoured.

The celebrations concluded with the adoration conducted by Fr Andrew Leo D’Souza.

The programme ended with the fellowship meal. More than 650 parishioners, pilgrims and St Jude English Medium School children witnessed the auspicious programme.
