Udupi: Railway police advise not to accept food from strangers

Udupi, Aug 8: Following robbery of an elderly couple after giving soft drink laced with sedatives in Matsyaganda express train, railway police advised train passengers not to accept food or drinks from strangers.

“Incidents of robbing passengers of their jewellery, cash and valuables by giving food and drinks laced with sedatives have been increasing. Therefore, the passengers should remain alert. Passengers should not display their expensive jewellery while travelling. They should contact or telephone on 182 for police assistance,” stated their press release.
