Puttur, Aug 6: The Student Welfare Committee of Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research of St Philomena College Puttur, organised a ‘welcome and orientation programme’ for first year post graduate students, in the college auditorium, on Friday, August 4.
Chairperson of the centre, Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro, in his address said, "Discipline and academic excellence plays a prominant role in the the success of a student."
Principal prof Leo Noronha in his presidential address said, "At PG level, students must focus more on curricular activities and research."
Suraksha and the group presented the prayer song. The Student Welfare officer Sooryanarayana Bhat welcomed the gathering. Assistant professor in Economics Pradeep K S proposed the vote of thanks. Assistant professor in Economics Sandhya H compered the programme.
