Kundapur, Aug 2: “BJP is misleading people to gain power. It is creating unrests, anxious atmosphere, assaults on minorities and dalits. BJP has developed an attitude of causing politics even on dead bodies. We should be careful against such party which is creating rifts between religions and castes,” said KPCC working president Dinesh Gundu Rao.
He was speaking after presiding over Byndoor Vidhana Sabha constituency Congress activist's conference at Annappayya auditorium, Trasi on Tuesday August 1.
“Narendra Modi led government at the centre has attained power by telling lies to the people. The government has not fulfilled any of the promises made during elections. RSS backed by BJP knows the art of cheating people by falsehood. The Prime Minister has given nothing to the people besides being number one in lies,” he alleged.
“The previous UPA government was increasing support price to farmers every year. Has the present government which is disappointing farmers done away with corruption due to demonetization? Amit Shah in Gujarat is buying MLAs. It is shameful. Ujwal scheme is misleading people. People should know that it is not free. The state government will soon start providing free cooking gas to those who do not have it,” he said.
“The projects provided by Siddaramaiah government in the state have reached every house. Our activists should explain them to the people. Congress is being strengthened from booth level. AICC and KPCC have sent a clear message and asked its cadres to create booth level committees. Congress workers should tell the truth to people about BJP which misleads them. Congress should win in five constituencies. They should make sure that Siddaramaiah led government comes back to power for next term also,” he said.
AICC New Delhi observer P C Vishnunandan who inaugurated the conference said that the people in the state should compare the achievements of state government and union government. “The state government has implemented 95% promises made in the election manifesto and CM has been known as the best Chief Minister in the country. What did
the BJP do in the state during its rule in the state? They saw three chief ministers during a period of five years due to internal tussle. The people in the state have seen eleven of their ministers including the chief minister going to jail. Our government in the state is providing social justice. Congress in the leadership of Rahul Gandhi has given four secretaries for the revival of Congress,” he said.
District in-charge minister Pramod Madhwaraj said that the Congress does not hand over baton and knives to its activists and incite violence.
“The people should understand that BJP is targeting innocent people. The state government has waived loans of farmers up to fifty thousand rupees. The union government should immediately waive loans of farmers in the banks. There were green cards during BJP rule. It was difficult to get them. Our government is easily giving BPL cards to the beneficiaries. BPL cards are being issued to those with Aadhaar card, thousand square feet house and the annual income of one lac twenty thousand. Title deeds are being issued under 94C and 94CC. The problem of deemed forest will be solved within the next ten days”, he said.
