Mangaluru, Jul 31: Muhammed Ismail (Basheer Ahmed), second son of one of the founders of renowned Anjuman Khuvvatul Islam organization, Marhoom Ahmed Master, breathed his last in a private hospital in the city after a brief illness.
Ismail had been identified as one of the front runners of Islamic revolution in undivided Dakshina Kannada district in the 90s. He was delivering discourses in Arabic - English every Friday at Masjidul Jamia, Manipal, after this programme was launched there a few years back. He was well known for his proficiency in Arabic and English and for his excellent translation and orations.
Since the last 15 years, Basheer Ahmed was discharging duty in a prominent position in prestigious Saudi Arabia-based organization, Dar-Al-Riyadh. He left his job a year back, and started serving as director of Badriya educational institutions at Deralakatte here.
The deceased has left behind wife, two daughters, and a large number of friends, relatives, fans, and followers. The burial was conducted at the burial ground of the Muhiyuddin new Jumma Masjid at Jokatte here.
