Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)Mangaluru, Jul 27: Moras Charitable Trust distributed scholarships to poor and meritorious students, in a programme held at Kuppepadav church auditorium on Tuesday, July 25. Dr Bernard Moras, Archbishop of Bengaluru, president of the trust, handed over cheques to the 18 students and wished them well.Students were selected on the basis of family background, study pattern and their aim for the future. Students of all religions were included in the selection.
Moras Trust was inaugurated in last August in memory of late Francis Moras and Monthin Moras.The scholarships were distributed for the first time this year. Fr Edwin Pinto compered the programme.Trustees John Moras, Cruz Moras and church parish priest Fr Valerian D'Souza were present on occasion.
