Mangaluru, Jul 24: As part of their 25 years jubilee celebrations, CLC of St Joseph Vas deanery, Nithyadar parish, organised 'Gadhyanthlo Gammath', a fun at field day, which included games, sports and other competitions for the parishioners as well as locals, on Sunday, July 23.

The day began with a divine invocation through a prayer song. Shridhar Alva, the owner of the field, inaugurated the day's events.

The sports events included throwball and tug of war for the ladies, and volleyball, cricket and tug of war for men of the parish. The general event for the locals included backward running race, breaking the pot, and running race for both men and women.

There was huge participation from both parishioners and locals. The events were open to participants of all age groups.

Fr Elias D’Souza, parish priest, Nithyadar parish visited the field and boosted enthusiasm in the participants.

The organisers of the event arranged lunch.

The event ended with great satisfaction for both the participants and the organisers. The event was well attended and organised.
