Mangaluru: MRPL's Swachh Bharat fortnight to conclude on Jul 31

Mangaluru, July 21: MRPL inaugurated the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, a fortnight-long programme, on Monday, July 17.

The programme will conclude on Monday, July 31.

The programme was inaugurated by H Kumar, managing director, MRPL, by lighting the lamp. 

The Swachhata or cleanliness pledge, was taken by the employees and contract workers. 



Quiz was held for the employees and contract workers on the subject of 'Swachh Bharat' and cleanliness.

As part of the Swachh Bharat Pakhwada, a swachatha-awareness programme was held in MRPL Employees Club on July 19. The dependents of the MRPL employees participated in the programme in good numbers.  

Veena T Shetty, senior manager, CSR, conducted the awareness session. The participants interacted and expressed their views on cleanliness.

The awareness session was followed by a cleaning activity which was held in MRPL township and the CISF quarters area.

As part of the same, awareness campaigns were conducted in the surrounding schools by MRPL. The programmes were held in Government High School, Soorinje, Government High School, V Block, Katipalla and Shri Narayana Guru Composite PU College, Katipalla.  

The campaign was followed by cleanliness drive around the schools along with the students.
