Bengaluru, Jul 13: Judge of the state high court, Justice Ratnakala, recused herself from hearing three appeals filed in the court relating to allegation of amassing unaccounted wealth against former chief minister of Karnataka and state BJP president, B S Yeddyurappa.

An advocate, Vinod, has gone on appeal against the order of the Lokayukra court in Shivamogga that had exonerated Yeddyurappa in three cases relating to amassing of unaccounted wealth. Yeddyurappa has been accused of illegally acquiring properties and allotment of Karnataka Housing Board site to his daughter illegally.

The case came up for hearing before the single judge bench of the high court presided over by Justice Rathnakala. Justice Rathnakala noted that she had earlier heard an application filed in similar case in the past by Yeddyurappa and therefore announced the decision to recuse herself from hearing this case.
