Bantwal, Jul 12: Additional director general of police (ADGP) Alok Mohan who arrived here on Wednesday, July 12 said that police have received crucial leads relating to the murder of RSS worker Sharath Madiwala and the arrests of the killers will be hopefully made soon.
After his arrival at the Bantwal town police station, he held a meeting with police officers and then spoke to the media. “The news that some arrests have been made at Sullia relating to the murder is not true. They are the suspects in another case. They are being interrogated,” he said.
“Whoever has killed Sharath, will be apprehended. No ways they will be spared,” he added.
“Uppinangadi incident is a robbery case. It is not communal at all. It should be noted that strict checking is being carried out at the borders. Now the situation has improved here and has come back to normal,” he informed. .
Prior to this, Alok Mohan visited the laundry where Sharath was assaulted which resulted in his death.
IGP (Western Range) Harishekaran, superintendent of police Sudheer Reddy, DySP Raveesh C R were present with the ADGP among other police personnel.
