Mangaluru, Jul 12: Taking note of the efforts being made to arrest Hindu leaders in Dakshina Kannada district and continuance of disturbances here, MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has cut short his visit of Russia. Kateel, who happens to be part of a delegation touring Russia, is expected to reach the city on Wednesday July 12.
Nalin had left with a parliamentary delegation led by Lok Sabha speaker, Sumitra Mahajan, to Russia. The delegation was to take part in various meetings in Russian Federation for three days before returning to India on July 14. However, in view of volatile situation in his home constituency, Nalin is coming back, duly obtaining permission from the Lok Sabha speaker heading the delegation.
The delegation had held fourth inter-parlliamentary meeting with Vyacheslav Volodin, chairman of Russia's State Duma. In addition to Nalin, MPs, Hema Malini, Dr Veerendra Kumar, Muhammed Saleem, and some officers happen to be the members of the Indian parliamentary delegation.
