Bantwal, Jul 11: A day after chief minister Siddaramaiah instructed the police to take strict action against communal forces that are disrupting peace in Dakshina Kannada, particularly in Bantwal, the state government on Tuesday July 11 effected transfers of three cops to take better control of the situation.
IPS officer Dr Arun K has been appointed assistant superintendent of police of Bantwal sub-division. Dr Arun K is presently serving as ASP of Hole Narasipura sub-division in Hassan district.
Also, Vishnuvardhan, who is currently serving as additional superintendent of police in Udupi, has been brought in, in place of Dakshina Kannada ASP Dr C B Vedamurthy.
In another change, Brijesh Mathew has been appointed circle inspector of Bantwal. He is currently serving as SI of Anti-Corruption Bureau in Chikkamagaluru.
