Udupi, Jan 27: Pejawar Swamiji on Tuesday, June 27 said that Sakshi Maharaj cannot alone decide on the Muhurat to be held on the construction of Sri Ram temple in Ayodhya.
BJP Member of Parliament from Uttar Pradesh, Sakshi Maharaj on Monday said that the Udupi convention in November would finalise the dates for the temple’s construction in Ayodhya.
The convention titled 'Dharam Sansad' is scheduled to be held in Udupi from November 23 to 26 and many saints and seers from across the country are expected to participate in it.
“Sakshi Maharaj came here and spoke to me. As he was speaking in Hindi, I could not understand everything he said. ‘Dharam Sansad’ was held here during my third Paryaya. A resolution to enter Sri Rama Mandir by breaking the locks was taken then. Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi had opened the locks and facilitated the visit by faithful,” Swamiji added.
“This time, Sakshi Maharaj has said that Muhurat date will be decided at the ‘Dharam Sansad’ in Udupi. But he cannot take decision alone. The committee has to decide it. I cannot comment now without proper clarity. There is a constitution. There is law. Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha too have the say. Yes, the ‘Dharam Sansad’ may discuss about Ram Mandir issue,” Swamiji said.
Reacting to the proposed plan of Sri Rama Sene planning to hold a protest against holding Iftar party at the Math recently, Swamiji said “Let us wait and see. I cannot comment anything now. I tried to convince Pramod Muthalik. But he was not convinced. I have clearly conveyed my opinion on the matter. I do not know how they will protest. So it is better to wait and see.”
