New Delhi, Apr 17: All disputes have been resolved with National Broadcasters Association (NBA), the Indian Premier League (IPL) said after a meeting held on Wednesday night in Mumbai.

The IPL authorities and its television rights holder, Sony TV, met with NBA counterparts to work out a way to avoid a boycott of the Twenty20 league, starting on April 18, by the various television channels.

"The television channels were unhappy with the charges demanded for showing clips of the IPL matches. They found the charges too high," sources close to IPL said.

The decision of the TV channels that come under the umbrella organisation of NBA was conveyed by Secretary General Annie Joseph to IPL chairman Lalit Modi.

The television channels were protesting against exclusive use rights given to Sony Network.

The association on Tuesday wrote a letter conveying its views in this regard to Modi.

"At the end of this day (Tuesday), our members are left with a partial and unsatisfactory response to our attempts to ensure a balanced approach between their rights to fair use and the rights and interests of IPL, and establish a relationship based on mutuality of interests and equity in law," the letter says.

NBA's decision came after the IPL announced that it had reached an agreement with the Indian Newspaper Society on the conditions for media accreditation.
