Mangalore: Stranded Elevator Claims Life of Woman

Mangalore, Apr 15: A 55-year-old, Philomena, working in a womens' hostel in the city died while she tried to come out from a jammed lift at Bavutagudda, Mangalore on Monday, April 15 evening.
It is reported that Philomena, who was working for 23 years in a womens' hostel was trapped inside the lift. Owing to technical problems the lift stopped abruptly trapping her inside. A Panic stricken Philomena tried to come out from the lift by opening the door. Not being able to reach the landing safely, she eventually jumped down.
She was rushed to a private hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
Philomena was a resident of Gorigudda, Valencia.
