Dubai, Jun 14: David, a Nigerian patient was successfully operated on for a severe fracture at Thumbay Hospital – Hyderabad, recently.
David, who works at a company in Dubai, had suffered a fracture after a fall damaging his left hand severely. Since he could not afford to get the surgery done in the UAE, he had been resting at his labour accommodation for close to ten days, when a group of social workers came to know about his plight. On visiting him and understanding the seriousness of his injury, the social workers suggested that he get treated in India. They got in touch with the medical tourism department of the Dubai-based Thumbay Hospital network, who agreed to have him operated at their hospital in Hyderabad, India.
David approached the Indian Embassy in the UAE for an emergency medical visa, which was duly granted taking his deteriorating condition into consideration. At Thumbay Hospital Hyderabad, he underwent a five-hour long surgery by the hospital’s team of expert surgeons, after which he recovered completely. A couple of days rest and a final check up at the hospital confirmed that the patient’s fractured left hand was back to normal.
David thanked Thumbay Hospital for the treatment and care he received, adding that he now felt as healthy and happy as ever. “I thank Thumbay Hospital for the wonderful care and the world-class treatment I received here. I will forever cherish the hospitality extended to me by Thumbay Medical Tourism,” he said.
