Udupi: Foundation Stone Laid for St Mary’s School at Kinnimulky

Udupi, Apr 9 Foundation stone was laid for St Marys’ School at Kannarapadi Balaji layout at Kinnimulky on Tuesday April 8.

Former minister Dr V S Acharya was the chief guest on the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he said that education should be given importance in this competitive era. Schools should impart value-based education, he advised.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore laid the foundation stone and blessed the occasion.

Former MP Vinaykumar Sorake, former MLA U R Sabhapati, Urban Development Authority commissioner Gokuldas Nayak, DDPI K Anand, BEO Manjunathaiah, Fr Mathew Vas, parish priest of Mother of Sorrows Church, Fr Vishal Lobo, assistant priest of the church and headmistress Martina Lewis were present on this occasion.

The new school will be built on 10 acres of land and will include a library, class rooms, sports ground and a swimming pool.
