Bangalore, Apr 8: In yet another case of violence against a foreign tourist, a Filipino woman was allegedly molested by an employee of the service apartment in Bangalore where she was staying, police said.

Thirty-eight-year-old Klondy Ramrez, who works as a nurse in a private hospital in London, arrived in the south Indian city on April 3 and resided at the "Stay In" service apartments in one of the posh localities of the city, DCP (Central) B N S Reddy said.

On the night of April 4, while she was returning after an evening outing, Srikanth, one of the employees of the service apartments, tried to "forcibly hold her and plant a kiss on her cheek". Offended, Klondy slapped him. Subsequently, the employee was shown the door, police said.

"Though the incident occurred on April 4, Ramrez chose to file a complaint on Monday. We have filed a case of molestation under section 354 of IPC. However, since Srikanth has been thrown out of the job and no longer works there, all efforts are being made to trace him," Reddy told.

On March 14, a young German woman was allegedly molested on the beach in Goa bringing to fore yet again safety and security of foreign tourists in the coastal state.

The incident happened close on the heels of the Scarlett rape and murder case.
