Udupi, Apr 7: Retired principal of Pompei College and residential priest of Kinnigoli church Fr Valerian Mendonca  was given a warm farewell by the parishioners here on Sunday April 6.

Fr Valerian was felicitated for his five years of selfless service to the parish and to the parishioners. The parishioners wished him all the best for his future endeavours as director of Sandesha. Parish priest of Kinnigoli Fr Alfred Pinto and Fr Anil D’Silva felicited Fr Valerian and parish council vice-president Lionel Pinto read the felicitation note.

Speaking on the Fr Alfred Pinto said that Fr Valerian is well-accepted and appreciated by the people in the field of music. He is also a guide, friend, director and councilor of the choir.

Joseph Quadros compered the programme, Lancy D’Souza welcomed the gathering and Valerian Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks.
