Dubai, May 2: In a news that is bound to cheer foodies and gastronomes in Dubai, Ujala, an authentic Indian multi-cuisine restaurant with a dash of Mangaluru, opened recently in Karama here.

Promoted by well-known Harish Shetty, Rohini Shetty and Prashanth Shetty from Mangaluru, Ujala not only offers special tasty Mangalurean food, but also South Indian, North Indian, Chinese delicacies and mouthwatering tandoori dishes.

The restaurant was inaugurated by Sarvotham Shetty, president of Abu Dhabi Karnataka Sangha and UAE Bunts Sangha, and Sundar Shetty, mangaging director of Nihal Restaurant and Tandoori Corner Restaurant, Abu Dhabi. Ujala's partner Harish Shetty's in-laws Shekar Shetty and Mohini Shetty too were present for this auspicious occasion. Daiji Dubai's Dayan D'Souza and Alwyn Pinto graced the ceremony.

Traditional Mangalurean delicacies such as kori rotti, chiken sukka, fish pulimunchi, fish masala fry, neerdosa etc are also available.

Ujala Restaurant is also the perfect caterer for celebrations. Be it an association dinner, wedding, business function, birthday party or any celebration, the restaurant caters in and around Sharjah and Dubai. It undertakes orders for parties and outdoor catering services.

The restaurant is surely to delight food buffs. The menu contains a great selection. There is something for everyone on the menu at very reasonable prices.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner every day, and breakfast on Fridays and Saturdays only.

    Congratulations to Mr. Harish Shetty and his dedicated team on their opening of UJALA Restaurant in Karama. I worked for several years in Dubai and then moved to New York. I will definitely visit Ujala restaurant when I will be visiting Dubai next month with my wife.
