Mangalore, Mar 24: Father Muller Medical College Hospital (FMMCH) will conduct a month-long Heart Care Camp at the college hospital premises, informed Dr Prabhakar, HOD of cardiology of FMMCH.
Speaking to press persons here on Monday March 24, he added that the camp will be conducted from Tuesday April 1 to April 30. Surgeries, if needed, will be done at subsidized rates during the camp, he added.
Answering questions raised by journalists, Dr Prabhakar said heart diseases are no more surprising as lifestyle is undergoing a sea change with influential factors like food habits and mental stress. Hence the treatment must be made accessible to every one and cost should not be a hurdle, he stressed.
Dr Laxminarayana Achar, cardiac surgeon, Lohidas, president of city's Rotary Club, north and others were present at the press conference.
