Puttur: Irregular Supply of LPG may Attract Stern Actions

Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (KM/AF)

Puttur, Mar 22: Ensuring timely supply of refilled LPG cylinders to consumers is the sole responsibility of agencies. If the agencies fail to discharge this responsibility then the government will take action, warned Vasanth Kumar P assistant commissioner of Puttur.

The cylinders must be supplied within 25 days from the day of placing order and there should be no middle men. Cylinders should not be used for commercial purposes and cylinders must be supplied as per stipulated amount. Violation of these rules by agencies may attract stern actions.

Investigations have reveled that 2826 connections and 2176 connections from Mookambika Gas Agency and Mahalingeshwara Gas Agency respectively have no relevant documents, he added while directing the agencies to provide an explanation in three days.

No one needs to worry about the decision made by some cooperative societies to relinquish their role in public distribution system as certain organizations have come forward to take up the responsibility, he said.
