Dubai, Apr 23: Henry D’Silva's maiden Konkani movie, the much acclaimed 'Noshibacho Khell' which saw tremendous response across India, was released at Galleria Cinemas in Dubai on Friday April 21 with initial two shows in the same theatre.
Fr Robert Lasrado of St Mary's Church inaugurated the Dubai premier show by cutting the ribbon on the entrance into the main theatre and then with the traditional lighting of the lamp near the screen, in the presence of Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld, Dayan D’Souza of Daiji Rang Mandir, Harry Fernandes, the director of the movie and other distinguished guests including Leo Rodrigues of KCO Abu Dhabi.
Producer Henry D'Silva briefed the audience on the making of the film and how he has been travelling to various parts of India and abroad to promote the movie. He shared the good news that he has received appreciation from every place this movie was released, and so far people have said that 'Noshibacho Khell' is one of the best films ever made in Konkani. He thanked Shodhan Prasad for his support in bringing this movie to UAE. Director Harry Fernandes also spoke a few words and requested the audience to spread the word if they feel the movie is good after watching. Fr Lasrado blessed and wished all success to the Konkani movie.
The film under the banner of Kyam Films has been directed by well-known Bhojpuri director Harry Fernandes. The music has been composed by trio Wilson Olivera - Gunavanth Sen - Eric Ozario. The movie is co-produced by Carol D’Souza and has a beautiful and interesting storyline which keeps the audience glued to their seats throughout.
More shows are planned for Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and elsewhere in the coming weeks, of which the news will be published soon.
