Mangalore: Ten-Day Craft Bazaar Exhibition-cum-sale Inaugurated

Mangalore, Mar 21: 'Craft Bazaar' a ten-day exhibition-cum-sale of handicraft and handloom products, organized by Sahiyar Mahila Hastakala Utpadak Sahakari Mandali at Hotel Woodlands here was inaugurated on Friday March 21.

The exhibition features around 40 stalls. Exhibitors from various states like Andhra Pradesh, Punjab, Gujarat, West Bengal and others are taking part.

Around 400 items including mobile pouches, leather products, embroidered bags, imitation jeweler, wooden statues, bedspreads, acrylic paintings, jute products, scrubbers, paintings on wooden planks, head scarfs and other things are on display.

Ten more stalls are yet to be put up. The prime concern of the exhibition is to help artisans across the country so as to prevent their unique products from going unnoticed and unrecognized, said Amit Kumar, member of the Mandali while speaking to Daijiworld.  

Sri Krishna Palemar, former MLA inaugurated the exhibition. The exhibition will conclude on Sunday March 30.
