Bantwal: Ornaments worth Rs 90,000 Stolen from Jewellery Shop

Bantwal, Mar 20: In yet another theft case, gold ornaments worth Rs 90,000 were stolen from a jewellery shop near B C Road post office here on Monday March 17 night.

Police sources said that theft took place in Chitra Jewellers which is near B C Road post office.  The shop owner Ravindra Pane had locked the shutters of the shop after the daily business hours on Monday night.

Theft came to light only on Tuesday morning, when Ravidnra opened the shop.  Thieves had broken into the shop on Monday night and had decamped with 83 grams of gold ornaments worth Rs 90,000

Pane in his compliant lodged with the Bantwal police stated that earlier too theft attempts were made in his shop. ASP S S Sidramappa, ASI Narayana P, circle inspector B R Lingappa visited the spot and took stock of things.
