Mangalore: 'High Level of Competence Key to Success'

Mangalore, Mar 20: Students must develop a high level of competence in order to have an edge in the competitive atmosphere prevailing in India, suggested A P Malhotra, AGM of IT Department, Corporation Bank.

He was addressing the gathering at the concluding ceremony of Anveeksha '08, a symposium on futuristic technologies in computer sciences, hosted by St Aloysius Institute of Computer Sciences here on Wednesday March 19.

He was of the opinion that only a small section of population succeeds in the era of globalization. He further said that student must strive for excellence by anticipating the requirements of cut-throat competition. Students must be innovative and self-motivated and be prepared to keep pace with the changing times, he suggested. 

Fr Swebert D'Silva, principal of St Aloysius First Grade College presided over the programme.

Fr Denzil Lobo, director of Aloysius Institute of Computer Sciences and others were present on the occasion.
