Thank you for this arrangment. But it take more time to travel and time schudule is not good...compair to bus. And kudla people are very silent compair to Gowdas. If any thing happens inside the burth..then these uneducated Gowdas start fighting. SO BE CAREFULL KUDLA PEOPLE......."BUS IS MOST BETTER THAN THIS TRAIN"

It is good news for mangalorean who travel to bangalore on official visit. But still lot have to be done for karnataka to have more infrastructure in railway especially in konkan sector where still it is having single track. Even in some sector it has single track and route should run on electrification to reach the destination fast instead taking more hour on diesel.

    People,

This will benefit the people fully only if .... Service is daily...timing should be Departure 10 PM from both Bangalore and Mangalore....arrival 6 AM...and from Mangalore Central....it need a stop at Hassan only...thus save about an hour...

If Nalin/Saddu/Suresh Prabhu cannot ask Railways to do this....what is the use???...

This is half hearted attempt to support both 'Bus Lobby' and Peoples demands....most of Government decisions are similar 'Half hearted' ....

It should start from Kundapur or Karwar or Goa! People from Udupi, Kundapur will not opt for this train since they need to change over to bus or taxi from Mangalore! Looks like definite some kind of lobby.... eventually it will be dead siting poor passenger load....since buses ply from Kundapur to Bangalore! What a pity!!!

China has 20,000 km of High speed rail wherein the max speed is 350 Km/hr. This means a chinese train can cover the distance from mangalore to bangalore in a hour. Well what we have in competition to the Chinese?? Oh forgot we have the great Gau Mata. Har Har Modi.

Kuch Paney key liye Kuch kona padtha hey......Some benifts of peole ,SOme nefites for bus operators..As Mr. Vishnu said Yes there should train running on Weekends. The timmings & days are to benift the bus operators.
But the days times are good due to avoid any problems in ghats during rainy season during night times.

Better to start it from Udupi or Suratkal bypassing M’lore Junction. People from the city can board the train at Suratkal or B.C. Road since it will run during daytime.

Starting from Bahtkal, Karwar or even Madgaon is acceptable since there is shortage of north bound trains; but never from Kannur or Kasaragod as there are too many trains to Bangalore and Chennai from Kerala.

Let the morning train travel via Mysore..no problem. But the Night Karawar - Bangalore train must travel via Shravanabelegula such that travel time is reduced by 4 hours!

The Train Departs at 11:30 AM from Mangaluru on Weekdays- No Use.
The Train Departs at 07:50 AM from Bengaluru on Sunday - No Use.
The train is largely of no use for commuters between Mangaluru & Bengaluru. It's because of the simple logic that. When someone has only two days off, Saturday & Sunday, who wants to waste a day for travelling??. I don't know who set these timings. It would have been better in both directions, if the train were depart at night and reach in morning. It would have served the purpose.
Anyways 'All The Best' Kudla Express..
