Udupi: High Court Vacates Stay Orders on Manipal Road Work

Udupi, Mar 13: All legal obstacles to the widening of the Kalsanka-Kadiyali stretch of city to Manipal has been cleared, said former MLA and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader, K Raghupati Bhat here on Wednesday March 12. 

Speaking to press persons he said that the high court has vacated the stay orders on the widening of the roads. He further said that vacating the stay orders would facilitate speedy completion of the widening works from Kadiyali temple to the Sri Shankarnarayana temple. A new bridge will be constructed near Kalsanka very soon, he added.  

Bhat said that the Congress is criticizing the works instead of supporting the developmental works like road-widening, shifting of the garbage dumping yard form Beedinagudde to Alevoor and also the construction of the district office complex.

    It is high time that the residents of that narrow stretch of road between Kadiyali and Kalsanka realize that, it is in their own interest that the road is being widened. The Municipality in Udupi should at times adopt the strategy which was adopted by the then CM of Andhra Pradesh, Mr.Chandrababu Naidu for development of flyovers and roads in Hyderabad, by using civil pressure. This is welcome news!!!
