Mangaluru, Mar 30: A new Tulu film, ‘Ambar Caterers’ under Nageshwara Cini Combines banner directed by Jaiprasad Bajal will soon hit theatres. The film completed its dubbing-process at Daijiworld Audio-Visual Studio recently.
Director Jaiprasad and associate director Prashanth Alva sat for a quick chit-chat at Daijiworld office where they spoke about the production and the high points of ‘Ambar Caterers’.
"Comedy is the base of Tulu films. The plays in Tulu language attract a lot of audience. These plays are generally based on comedy. The coastalwood audience backs comedy. ‘Ambar Caterers’ is a movie full of comedy with a parallel love story. The movie will highlight Tulu culture as well. It will definitely entertain the viewers," said Jaiprasad.
"Ambar means crazy. You will expecting something crazy in the movie. The reason behind the title will be clear to a viewer only when he watches the movie. The movie will give the term 'Ambar' a different meaning. 'Ambar Caterers' has a very good subject which would keep the audience glued to their seats," he said.
In the midst of the conversation, associate director Prashanth said that one of the songs in the film is a visual treat for audience. "The film's producer Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary has financed the movie and not compromised on anything. The quality of the film regarding its production, location or the performances are going to be a benchmark in the coastalwood industry," he said.
Jaiprasad has also written the screenplay and the dialogues. The cinematography has been handled by Santosh Rai Pataje. Manikanth Kadri has composed the songs.
'Ambar Caterers' will feature veteran sandalwood actors like Bharathi Vishnuvardhan and Sharat Lohithashwa in pivotal roles. "Language was the only issue we faced during the shooting. We found solutions for every hindrance and smoothly shot their portions. Sandalwood is not new to me. I have worked as an assistant director under well-known Kannada director M D Sridhar for 8 years. This is my debut as a director in coastalwood," said Jaiprasad.
Throwing light on the cast of 'Ambar Caterers', Jaiprasad reveals that the lead hero Saurabh S Bhandary who is making his debut is very dedicated towards his work. "Saurabh has given an excellent performance in the film as so has Sindhu Lokanath. Sindhu has been part of many hit Kannada films like Lifeu Ishtene, Drama, Case No. 18/9 and Love in Mandya. Navin D Padil, Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Arvind Bolar, Sundar Rai Mandara, Sunetra Pandit and all others have given their best," he said.
Speaking on the release and the dubbing process the director said, "The release date is not yet decided as a lot of Tulu films are flooding the theatres. The dubbing process will go on for ten days. Daijiworld Audio-Visual Studio is a great place for any film production team. This studio has everything on par with sandalwood movies dubbing studios in other places. It is a fully-equipped and an outstanding studio designed to produce the best sound with the latest technology. With 5.1 mixing setup, it has set has set a high standard of recording, mixing and mastering and voice-overs."
