Puttur,  Mar 29: A youth from Badagannur in the taluk, employed in Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh had recently travelled to his native place by an air-conditioned coach of a train. After suffering from mosquito bites all along the journey, he fell sick and got admitted into a hospital. On the basis of a complaint filed by him with the railways through the twitter account,  health officials of railways visited him at the hospital and inquired about his health.

Shivaprasad from Badagannur here was the passenger who was bitten by mosquitoes during his travel by air-conditioned coach. When the train reached Agra, he had complained to the railway ministry about the mosquito menace. He received message from the ministry, saying that the problem would be sorted out at Bhopal station. As the issue was not addressed at Bhopal too, Shivaprasad took up the issue again, and was told that the personnel will address the issue at Itarsi station. Here too disappointment awaited Shivaprasad.

The mosquitoes travelled with the passenger and continued with heaping miseries on Shivaprasad by biting him at will till he reached Mangaluru railway station. After his health condition deteriorated on the evening of March 23, he got admitted into a private hospital at Mangaluru. After getting admitted there, he sent another message by using twitter.

Under instructions from higher officials, health officers and others from Palakkad  division of railways came to the hospital on March 27, and made queries about his health condition with Shivaprasad.

Indian Railways are the best at doing work efficiently and speedily, Way to go Railways!

A patch of work say 10 kms, to lay the 5th and 6th track takes ages in Mumbai (Thane Stn to Diva Jn Stn). Work is still going on for the last so many years.

But a patch of 765 Kms (Roha to Mangalore Jn) just took 7 years :) That's what KRCL could do! because of public private partnership!!!
